Alton Towers Transport - S905 LHG - Lesson learned?

17/02/13 -

A question that came to mind when comparing this eye-catching design with one that featured for a while on at least one earlier member of the Towers fleet.

For passengers then, the rural delights of the Moorlands were seen only via the limitations of the all-over contravision. No doubt for most on board the destination would have mattered far more than any scenery...

...and now? hey-ho - fine coach, clear viewing, snazzy livery - smiles all round!

.................................................................

(Of greater interest, rally-wise, was the next to draw on stand - local Devon General devotee Bob Follwell with his iconic Atlantean that's there 'on the bank' in the above picture.)

Another treat in store as we set off for Adderley Green

- or did he say Baddeley Green?

Down Limekiln...

straight across the lights...

right first time - Adderley it was for a top-deck survey of First's off-duty fleet enjoyig their Sunday siesta.

As expected, the Atlantean was a real pleasure - ovely to make reaquaintance with this long-time stalwart of Bob's very special collection.
