Passing 'the college'

On the last lap of its daily routine, Stanways' faithful Solo heads along Hassall Road on its way from Newcastle to Scholar Green.

At this point it passes the entrance to Alsager College {or, given its correct title, the Alsager campus of the Manchester Metropolitan University} - an establishment no longer housing students, itself passing... into history.
