My son Benjamin, my daughter Emily, and my granddaughter Kendall on campus for Ben's graduation; Ben and Kendall are giving the sign of the Wolfpack while Emily gives the sign of the East Carolina Pirates where she graduated.
On Saturday, May 11th, my son Benjamin (Ben) Averitt graduated with Honors from the North Carolina State University Agronomy Department with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Plant and Soil Sciences - Crop Science, and a second degree in Plant Biology. He is now going to work on his Master's Degree. Words cannot express how proud I am of Ben; most fathers hope their sons will grow up to be like them, I hope I can grow to be as good a man as my son.
