i had to go to Oakdale this afternoon, and on the way back i went thru knights ferry, and stopped for a couple of shots of the historic bridge ... it is the longest covered wooden bridge west of the missippippi ( 330 feet ).... i remember as a kid we used to be able to drive over this bridge, and there was a signal at each end to let you know when to go ... it's single lane and was a bit rickity as i recall, but it was fun!
