Lauren's Wimple in progress
the stripes have an interesting repeat. I have no idea if this is going to work for the pattern or as a cowl or wimple, but the Mountain Colors Weavers Wool Quarters the pattern is designed for was totally unavailable when I started this - even in Missoula, Montana, close to where Mtn Colors is located. Crazy! So since I had this super-soft soywool from a sale, I thought I'd try it. The Mtn Colors wool my sister used for hers was finer, and much less bulky. But OTOH, hers is such a variegated blend of dark tones, the pattern barely shows. We didn't see any colorways of MC-WWQ that would work - all are pretty much dark heavy mixtures of a zillion shades. So it's "mox nix": 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
