Devotees celebrate the Hindu festival of Kartik Purnima (also spelt Kartik Poornima) on Sunday November 21, 2010 at the seawall near Eve Leary, Georgetown, Guyana. There were hundreds of people out there that morning.

 

Kartik purnima is a Hindu holy day celebrated on the full moon day or the fifteenth lunar day of Kartik (November–December). It is also known as Tripuri poornima and Tripurari Poornima.
