There's a curving sandstone wall along the cliff top at a coastal town near here. The red sandstone is blasted relentlessly by the winds off the North Sea. The resulting weathering of the individual stones in the wall is fantastic. The mortar holding it together is also carved into fabulous forms. Here is a little series of four of the stones.
