Austin FHH breakdown lorry XZ 6496

The FFH is apparently something of a rarity in that it has an under-cab engine and three seats (as opposed to two seats with in-cab engine). See additional notes in comments section below

 

The 2018 London to Brighton Run entrants deserve huge respect and thanks for their efforts in battling stifling heat and severe traffic problems in driving these old vehicles for several hours so that us spectators can enjoy an interesting day by the sea.

 

By all accounts a large proportion of the traffic issue was caused by queues for a car boot sale... a queue that was already forming when I went through before 8am... is there really any justification for something as mundane and ridiculous as a car boot sale causing so much issue for motorists?!

 

The weather was of course glorious, but Brighton seafront is looking more tired every year - the efforts of those trying to preserve the arches and the historic lift are not helped by graffiti and a general lack of respect from
