6 / 365 - 1997 Great Year for music and life
6 / 365 July 6, 2010
I loved 1997, 2nd best year (for music) ever. 1997 saw us married in January, then head off to live in London for 6 or so months then another 5 months traveling, fantastic times.
Radiohead - Ok Computer. I remember when this album came out and I played it the first time, I still have "feeling flashbacks" when I hear the first track. It is in my top 10 albums of all time though, funnily it is my second fave radiohead CD (the bends is still holding it for me).
Music has been a huge part of my life, and when mp3 players came out, I was an early adopter, then came the ipod, what a game changer that was. This is the ipod I currently use, though I haven't cut all my music collection across yet. See this belonged to my Dad, and I have had it for just over a year. He passed away in May 2009, and it still weighs pretty heavy for me. Every time I look at the ipod I think of him. I am sure more of this will come out over the year of the 365.
Had this idea for a shot the other night, and proved much more difficult to achieve than I thought. At f1.4, there is certainly not much room for error, and I think my next attempt at this, I will use a longer lens than the 50mm I used here. Very difficult to get the focus sharp, hand hold, and hit the trigger.
For the record, 1991 was the best year for music for me, but that will not doubt feature in a 365 photo later.
