Canadian National – (2000’s Era) Racine (DAS) Dual Anchor Spreader ~ CN #64064 (Rear 3-4) tied down on Lapeer Grain Spur (X-GTW) @ Imlay City, MI – Sep-1-2020 - 1749 Hours – Kris Crawley

 

The Racine (DAS) Dual Anchor Spreader applies rail anchors uniformly positioning the anchors against ties or tie plates without twisting. These anchors prevent longitudinal movement of the rail, either from changes in temperature or through vibration.

 

Location: Imlay City, MI on the Canadian National Flint Subdivision formerly Grand Trunk Western RR ~ Maintenance took place in fall of 2020 program highlights included:

 

•Replacement of approximately 5 miles of rail

•Installation of over 105,000 new railroad ties

•Rebuilds of 24 road crossing surfaces

•Maintenance work on of bridges, level crossings, culverts, signal systems and other track infrastructure
