EdgeTech’s 2205 high-resolution side scan sonar

 

EdgeTech’s 2205 sonar system is a two frequency system allowing the option for very fine resolution or wide area survey capability.

 

OceanServer’s VectorMap softwar, provides geo-registered data files. These can be entered in NOAA electronic navigational Charts (ENCs) or other geo-referenced charts, maps or photo images, allowing planning & developing AUV missions using point-and-click navigation.

Michigan State Police Underwater Recovery Team (Now known as the Marine Services Team) has approximately 16 members with 10 boats each with a equipment/command post vehicle located throughout the state for quick deployment.

 

Equipment used by the team includes boats, sonar and side-scan sonar, an equipment/command post vehicle, and a warming shelter for ice diving operations.

 

Members are equipped with single and double 100 cubic feet tanks, half and full face masks, dry suits, underwater communications, stabilizers, regulators, and computers. Dive Masters are equipped with global positioning system devices, steel cables, tow bars, oxygen tanks, and metal detectors.
