2015 Michigan State Police ~ Volcanic "APB" (Approach Patrol Bicycles) Vx7 Mountain Bike

 

This is not your everyday mountain bike. Some of the highlights that I could pick out.

There are certain MSP Tahoe's that have bike racks mounted on them to carry the bikes around when not used on the Island.

 

These are used to patrol Belle Isle in Detroit which is the State's Largest Park, leased by the state for 30 years & owned by the city. Belle Isle is the largest City owned park in the US, even larger than Central Park in New York City.

 

They are also used at certain events patrolled by the MSP, sometimes used in cities for a more personal experience. THE MSP uses two bikes on Mackinac Island also but last I saw they were different than these bikes.
