Olivia's Book of Garden Secrets
They wondered how her lavender grew so tall and perfumed the air for miles. Roses, in colors so unusual there were no names for them, bloomed in profusion year round. Ivy climbed over the soft white sides of her cottage and blossomed with a flower that should not have been there.
The children crossed to the other side of the street when walking past her home. No one ever knocked upon her blue wooden door. Was is magic? Was it unrequited love that she poured into the care of her garden? Perhaps she would have confessed her secrets if someone had only stopped to ask. Amazing revelations often accompany a shared cup of tea.
