Dragonfly with blue eyes - Randolph County North Carolina

I picked up one of my Grandsons the other day at school and after dropping him off at home I stopped at the pond in the neighborhood to see if I could get some photos. I watched this dragonfly for a while and he would land then take of in just a second or two, finally he landed on a rock and I got a few captures of him.
