Beautiful striped Brown Thrasher - High Point North Carolina
The Brown Thrasher is a secretive bird that is seen on the edge of the forest or meadow. I have been lucky enough over the past two years to watch this bird sing his song. I have been able to watch the eating habits, scratching with those long legs and the bill raking away twigs or dead leaves looking for insects. Those bright yellow eyes seem to hold you in a trance while you try to get a capture of this beautiful bird. The Thrasher being such a large bird you would think it would be a bully but seems to get along with the birds around them.
