Gezira island catching the late afternoon sun after a heavy

rain shower.

Gezira is split in 2 area's, one is occupied by the Cairo Tower which I have been to last year the new Opera house and the Museum of Modern Art , then in the north of the island you will find Zamalek , it used to be a British neighbourhood

I spend many happy hours wandering around this island at least once a day

Of course you can also find the gorgeous Marriot hotel there

I had coffee and cakes in the pleasant garden and a treat ;Friday breakfast one of the best you will ever have
