Lookback Mountain Bluebird (Explored April 16, 2025)

This handsome male mountain bluebird is perched on a young (1 season of growth) tree or shrub. The area had mature trees and shrubs previously, mostly poplar, but they were cut down to do some road work last year. Some have re-sprouted from roots left behind. Poplar and other species are good for vegetative reproduction from roots (suckering).
