Owl Launch
Some days the weather does not cooperate and you have to struggle to get a decent image. This great grey owl has just left the post it was perched on and flew off. The pose is dynamic, which I like, but the high ISO and flat light doesn't help the image. When the owl flies with this kind of energy, you know they are going on a longer flight, not down to a vole or the next post on the fence line.
