Patagonian Crested Duck

While walking along Port Stanley's oceanfront seawall trail, I came upon a few of these pretty and pretty aggressive crested ducks. Earlier in the trip, I saw one chase other birds, flying and swimming with purpose to move them on. Strangely, it was not all other ducks. Just a few specific ones. Personal grudges, perhaps. LOL.

The eye is very striking; deep red and black. The crest is not big and showy, and barely shows on the back of the head. They are a medium-sized duck, not flashy, but still appealing.
