Red-eared Slider
A cute little turtle introduced to Maui. It is native to North America, but has been part of the pet trade world-wide and the seemingly harmless red-eared slider, a sub-species of the pond slider, has been included in the list of the world's 100 most invasive species. It outcompetes natives species where it gets introduced. In Hawaii, all land turtles (3 species or so) are introduced. Only the various sea turtles are native.
