Ghilayne Andrew
Ghilayne
rectangular leaves, trimmed
This is the rectangular hand-built tray free of the wooden shaper. The edges are rounded from trimming. Notice the slightly darker patches of clay -- those indicate the clay is still damp in places and not ready to receive its first (bisque) firing. The clay must be evenly dry, else it could crack in the kiln.
