Marron

The chestnut is a chestnut, edible fruit of the chestnut, which addresses the

criteria of good form: the result is big, round (one fruit developed

by bug) and unpartitioned (there are no folds of skin within the

flesh).

Some improved varieties of chestnut (brown Lyon, paragon, etc..), Which

multiplied by grafting, produce chestnuts in good proportion.

Chestnuts are intended primarily for purposes of luxury, including the

confection of candied chestnuts or roasted chestnuts.

In certain regions or certain expressions of everyday language, browns

however, may designate the chestnuts in their entirety.

 

 

A horse chestnut

The brown, edible fruit of the chestnut should not be confused with the

chestnut, seed toxic horse chestnut, which is called as often

commonly brown. The chestnuts are grown in forests or orchards,

sometimes in parks. The chestnut trees are from the Balkans

support the plantation or urban road: the chestnuts that we can

find in town are very often chestnuts.

Certaines variétés améliorées de châtaigniers (marron de Lyon, paragon, etc.), qui sont multipliées par greffage, produisent des marrons en bonne proportion.

Les marrons sont destinés prioritairement aux usages de luxe, notamment pour la confection des marrons glacés ou des marrons grillés.

Dans certaines régions ou dans certaines expressions du langage courant, le marron peut cependant désigner les châtaignes dans leur ensemble.

 

 

Un marron d'Inde

Le marron, fruit comestible du châtaignier, ne doit pas être confondu avec le marron d'Inde, graine toxique du marronnier d'Inde, que l'on appelle aussi souvent couramment marron. Les châtaigniers sont cultivés en forêt ou dans des vergers, parfois dans des parcs. Les marronniers sont des arbres originaires des Balkans qui supportent les plantations urbaines ou routières : les marrons que l'on peut trouver en ville sont donc très souvent des marrons d'Inde.
