Split Rock lighting

Every year to commemorate the loss of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the big clamshell Fresnel lens at Split Rock, MN is lighted on the evening of November 10, the date the ship sank. I was there for the event in 2006. It was dark, cold, and clear.
