Strathtay Scottish SM5 ULS 633X

40 years have now passed since the SBG Reorganisation of 1985 and the 7 operating companies were split into 11 smaller ones. The 4 new companies Clydeside Scottish, Kelvin Scottish, Lowland Scottish and Strathtay Scottish were set up on 17 June 1985.

Strathtay Scottish took over the Tayside operations of Midland and Northern with its headquarters in Dundee and a new livery of french blue and marigold.

Strathtay SM5 was ULS 633X one of eight MCW Metrobuses inherited with Midland's Perth depot and seen here on Kinnoull Street in Perth heading to North Muirton in June 1986.
