Strathclyde's Buses MB38 A732 RNS

Strathclyde PTE took delivery of 25 MCW's Metrobus Mark 2 during 1983 with the last 10 arriving later that year as MB36 - MB45. MB38 is seen at the top of Byres Road at work on a 90 journey of the Inner Circle service in May 1988.

The Inner Circle was introduced on 18 June 1978 as services 89 (anti-clockwise) and 90 (clockwise), they linked six major city hospitals with a route around the suburbs from Govan through Shawlands, Mount Florida, Rutherglen, Parkhead, Springburn, Ruchill, Botanic Gardens and Partick returning to Govan through the Clyde Tunnel.

With service changes by 2020 the Inner Circle now survives as circular services 89/90 in late evenings only, the main daytime service run by First Glasgow is the 90 in both directions from Partick around the city but heading to Braehead Shopping Centre and serving the new QEU Hospital.
