World Health Day flash mob event in front of the European Parliament Brussels
To mark World Health Day on the 10th April Doctors of the World is presenting its findings on the data collated from Project:London, and other health programmes in 10 other European countries, to MEPs and other stakeholders in Brussels. We will be highlighting our concerns on healthcare access. You can read our European Advocacy Report at bit.ly/Hy8aWd
The report’s key findings from 2011 data found:
• 34% of patients seen at Doctors of the World’s centres perceived their state of health as poor or very poor despite the fact that the mean age of the group is 35.
• In cases where treatment was required, 46.2% received no treatment.
• 79% of pregnant women who were asked if they received antenatal care replied that they did not.
