ABC AEC

ABC 195B had quite a colourful past before ending up with Barry Talbott at Moreton-in-Marsh in 1977 and seen here in 1980 on a service to Moreton.

One of a pair of AEC Reliances with Marshall bodywork, she was new as Leicester City Transport 9 in 1964. LCT, however, had the bodies rebuilt to dual door layout by Strachans. In 1971, along with sister vehicles 7/8 (197/8 GJF), 10 (ABC 196B) and 11 (GBC 199D), she was sold to Colchester Corporation Transport, who had the bodies rebuilt, yet again, to single door layout, this time by Willowbrook!

In 1976 CCT disposed of 9 and 10 to Triafon of Garnswllt in South Wales, however, two months later Triafon's licence was revoked (cue Woolfy Hills) and 9 was ultimately acquired by Barry Talbott in 1977 where she would stay until being disposed of to Kirkby (dlr) in 1984.

Apologies for the abysmal picture quality - I've sharpened it as much as I can!
