Having said that. What do you think the best solution would be? Continuing to point out the fact that “Spiritually Dead” people do bad things, and ridicule them for being what they are, DEAD? Wouldn’t that be just like going to a cemetery and standing there ridiculing all those dead people because they are dead? Like there is something they could do to improve their condition, which is returning back to the dust from which they came. Or perhaps pointing them to Jesus, the ONLY solution to their condition of “Spiritual Death”?
Jesus said, “WE” are the LIGHT of the world, and all we manage to do is point out the darkness in the world around us, what possible good are we to those in need of the LIGHT of Christ?
Shouldn’t we spend our time pointing them to the source of LIFE, “Jesus Christ” the “ONLY RIGHTEOUS ONE”? It’s the gospel message that has the power to bring LIFE to the Dead. Insults and ridicule, does nothing but increase the divide between us. It actually makes people afraid to even get close to God, or us.
1 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken YOUR STAND. 2 BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, IF you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of FIRST IMPORTANCE: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the NEW has come! 18. All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19. that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, NOT COUNTING MEN’S SINS AGAINST THEM. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21. God made him who had NO SIN to be SIN for us, so that in HIM we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 IT teaches us to say “NO” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. (Titus 2:11-14)
God say’s, It’s the Grace of God that teaches us to say “NO” to unrighteousness. Not shaking our figures in peoples faces, and calling them names. That isn’t going to help anybody, that will only further divide us from not only one another, but from God as well. It’s the GRACE and LOVE of God that brings SALVATION, and units us ALL through Christ Jesus.
It’s satan that wants us to spend our time pointing out how evil people can be. And by doing so we are becoming servants of satan not Christ. So let’s stop apposing what God is trying to do, and do the work of an evangelist. Don’t become one of satan’s little helpers without realizing we’re being used by our enemy, and not God. Can anybody else seeing this?
Just as God loves his own children, he also loves those who’ve not yet come to him. And if we his children aren’t doing what he has asked us too, which is to make disciple of all nations, how are they to hear about God’s great love for them? What’s our job as children of God, ridiculing those for whom Christ died? Or telling them about the unconditional love of God for them? Just sayin’, I’m not any better than anybody else, I find myself being used by the enemy from time to time. And have to allow God to renew my mind with truth as well. So let’s try not to forget who and what we are in Christ?
Oh, by the way, this would work equally well all over the world! Amen?
