Our garbage pile next to our apartment. The blue bags are required for garbage collection. The mini garbage-can-like-thing is only used for food waste. We collect our scrap food in a small bucket under our sink (because we don't have an in-sink disposal) and empty it into this container when it gets full (or just really stinky).
