The Reign of Queen Victoria Commemorative Statue, Sturt Street - Ballarat

This magnificent statue commemorates the reign of Queen Victoria (1837 - 1901), and is located in Sturt Street, Ballarat, just outside the Town Hall. A gilt cherrub, using gold mined from the region, stands atop her orb.

 

The statue is the work of Australian Sculptor Sir Bertam MacKennal (1863 - 1931).
