Dream of Easter, Baby Bunny

MUMMY RABBIT: “Snuggle up in your pretty egg cradle sweet Baby Bunny, and I’ll rock you to sleep.”

 

BABY BUNNY: “Thank you Mummy. Will the Easter Bunny have visited when I wake up?”

 

MUMMY RABBIT: “Oh, not yet sweetheart, but soon.” *Starts to rock Baby Bunny.* “He’ll be here very soon.”

 

BABY BUNNY: “When is soon, Mummy?”

 

MUMMY RABBIT: *Stops rocking Baby Bunny and ponders.* “Well soon is… soon, Baby Bunny.”

 

BABY BUNNY: “Yes but when will soon be, Mummy?”

 

MUMMY RABBIT: “In a few sleeps, Baby Bunny.” * Starts to rock Baby Bunny again.* “Now off you go to sleep now, and dream of the Easter Bunny delivering Easter Eggs. When you wake up, Easter will be just that little bit closer.”

 

BABY BUNNY: “Goodnight Mummy.”

 

MUMMY RABBIT: “Goodnight Baby Bunny.”

 

Easter is not far away now, and hopefully the lead up to it will be filled with lots of fun and laughter. I’m sure that if you are good; very, very good, the Easter Bunny will visit you and leave you some Easter Eggs for you to hunt for on Easter Sunday. However, amongst all the fun and frivolity (and maybe chocolate) take a moment to stop and remember the reason for the season, whether it be religious, or the simple joy of being with the ones you love the most. Easter represents hope, as does spring, which also brings the promise of good things to come. We all need hope in the world today, and a reason to smile, find beauty and joy. My wish for you, is that you experience and find all these things!
