Scout's Special Birthday Invitation for Peter
SCOUT: "Peter! Peter mijn allerbeste vriend! I have your invitation ready! I'm sorry it took a bit longer to get to you, but I wanted to write it myself with my very best lettering! I wanted your invitation to be extra, extra special, because you are extra, extra special!" *Smiles.* "I hope you can come! I want you here for my birthday, mijn beste vriend! Then we can eat birthday cake together and play hide-and-seek and other party games, and you can see your beautiful princess Rosie and Nanuk too! There is no party without mijn beste vriend in the whole wide world!!! Even if you want to come the day beforehand and spend the night here, Daddy says it is alright! You can share my bed and we can snuggle up together and be cosy and whisper secrets together until we fall asleep." *Sighs.* "Although, I am soooo excited about my birthday party that I don't know if I will be able to sleep! My bears Paddy and Scout have made very good friends with two bears in Holland called Peter and Oleg (www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/galleries/721577154558... and www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/galleries/721577233464...) and their MummyMarian Kloon (on and off). Peter and Scout are very similar and have become best friends. Peter also loves Rosie and she loves him, so they have become prince and princess to one another. Poor Peter was so worried that he wasn't going to get an invitation to Scout's birthday party on Thursday, and he was very sad as you can see here: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/54406885179/in/album-7... or in the first comment below. However, Peter need never have had any concerns. Scout always wanted him to come along!
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
