Happy Saint Valentine's Day to all my Flickr Friends and Followers
“Life is a little like a chocolate box. Each chocolate is like a portion of existence: some are crunchy, some are nutty, some are tender, but all are delicious.” - Anonymous.
I'd like to take a moment to wish all my Flickr Friends and followers a very happy Saint Valentine's Day!
For anyone who follows my photostream, you might be aware I am very fortunate to be surrounded by some wonderfully artistic and creative friends. This includes my very dear friend Maria who creates some truly beautiful and amazing cards from recycled paper and cardboard. This Saint Valentine's Day card featuring hand-made flowers is a fine example of Maria's creations.
To quote Maria’s inserts that go with these cards: "Just like our loved ones, no two hearts are the same. Unique and individual, this heart was born from a desire to re-purpose paper destined for the bin."

The “Les Cyclamens” chocolate box was made in the first decade of the Twentieth Century for Demel, Vienna – a confectioner which first opened its doors in 1786. Demel still exists today at Kohlmarkt 14, 1010, Vienna. Having eaten delicious Sacher-Torte there, I can recommend a visit if you happen to be in the vicinity.
