The Sharpest Pencil Isn’t Always the Best
The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" on the 3rd of March is "tip". As a creative individual, I do paint, but I also design, sketch and draw, so pencils are a big part of my life and are seldom far from the reach of my right hand.
I always find a range of different pencils is important to have for sketching: different strengths and thicknesses, and a sharp point is important, but sometimes the sharpest pencil point is not always the best, depending upon what point of your sketch you are up to. Here I have drawn an eye, and I will sharpen the image up shortly with a finer point, but for now, to give my eye beautiful, lustrous lashes, I need something that whilst far from thick, is not the sharpest pencil on hand. I hope you like my choice for the theme this week, and that it makes you smile.
