Have Yourself a Golden Little Christmas
The theme for "Smile on Saturday" on the 17th of December is "shades of gold", which requires the frame to be filled with gold. Were that it a different time of year, I would have submitted the ruffled petals of a golden rose. However, as we are in the middle of the festive season as we count down to Christmas in nine days, and my own photostream has taken on its usual festive appearance, I did not want to break that theme. Therefore, I have chosen some of my golden Christmas decorations and trims.
I have a very large selection of Christmas decorations, and I do not use all my decorations every year. I alternate and change from year to year for interest and my own amusement. Being an organised person, and possibly a little obsessive, to make it easier when I deck my tree at Christmas time, I have different ornaments in groups and types. These can be glass ornaments, or antique ornaments. I also have some in colour types. Each grouping has its own special decorative box, so the gold ornaments like these baubles, bell and snowflake live in a golden box. That way I know what is in every box without me having to write on it. The pretty boxes then serve to decorate the underneath of the Christmas tree until Christmas Eve, when Father Christmas arrives with presents for all those I hold near and dear.
I hope you like my golden Christmas image, and that it makes you smile!
