An Emilien Guillot Rose Bloom - Preston
I took an afternoon stroll in the spring sunshine today, and I walked past this beautiful "Emilien Guillot" rose which is thriving in the well maintained garden of a stylish 1930s Art Deco clinker brick villa.
Bred by Dominique Massad and introduced in France by Guillot/Roseraies Pierre Guillot in 2001 as "Emilien Guillot", this rose has a mild to strong, fruity, rose fragrance, ancd its blooms feature between sixty and eighty petals in a beautiful form. Their striking vermilion and orange blooms are so showy and eye catching. Bathed in spring sun, it was begging to be photographed!
Spring has finally come to Melbourne, and everywhere, gardens are bursting forth with beautiful coloured blooms in a profusion of colours after a wetter than usual winter.
