Pompom Dahlia

Pompom is the clue to its name – being a decorative ball of a flower.

 

These are smaller and rounder than Ball dahlias which have flattened tops - on a Pompom dahlia, the petals curve inwards to make a miniature and complicated flower in a size which is small for a dahlia but they are little gems and are suitable to fill most spaces to be found in a sunny border.
