CBGB Awning @ Rock Hall

This is one of the first things I noticed. CBGB was one of the most famous clubs in New York City and it was forced to close in October 2006 when the club's owner, Hilly, faced an obscene rent increase. The club, which was home to The Ramones and Blondie, Patti Smith and the Talking Heads, opened in 1973 in New York's Bowery District. If you're wondering what the initials mean, CBGB stands for Country Bluegrass Blues and OMFUG stands for Other Music For Uplifting Gormandizers - referring to musical connoisseurs.
