iPad art, using reference

For me, creating iPad art has been hard because I rely, when not sketching from life, I rely on photo reference. Artrage has this capability built in but not so on the other great art apps for the iPad. Enabling gestures solves this problem. Load an image and flip between your art and the image effortlessly. Unlike using the home button to switch apps gesture based "flipping" is seamless. It makes for a workable workflow :) Have fun!

Oh, and to enable gestures follow this tutorial like I did.

P.S. Sorry for the crappy video quality, my webcam is an old one and only does 240p at 30fps :(

P.S.S. Also, notice I don't lift my finger when checking the reference image. If you do, then it will take a second for the drawing app to pick up again. Keep a finger always in touch with the screen and you can "check" the reference without ever really switching apps. That is the real trick of it :)
