This fantasy inspired necklace began its existence with an organically rusted metal washer (read about *RustART*). Other elements in this assemblage include antique brass findings, filigrees and chains, dyed silk/rayon, a tiny clock gear, gauze, paper, resin, reclaimed copper, brass wires augmented by fire (12, 16, 18, 20g), Quartz Points and a rustic piece of Variscite.
*there is a piece of 12 g brass wire (augmented by fire) attached within the fiber necklace in order to keep its shape. the wire/fiber necklace will fit a neck circumference between 17.5 to 21 inches.
*Pendant from Quartz to end of fiber is 5 inches
*RustART* :
A washer is organically rusted over several days and several layers under the watchful eye, in order to get the best rust formation in every piece. When the perfect rust formation is achieved, it is immediately sealed in with several layers of fixatives and sealers to preserve the beauty of the rust. The sealers also act as a protective layer to skin that might be in contact with the washer.
