Rare Inspiration - Golden Gate Bridge, SF

Every once in a while I find a photograph that I just have to take a shot at recreating. Last year MaxSmart caught this rare dense fog three days in a row. I have obsessed about those shots for over a year now and finally got a chance to try some myself.

Photography changes the way you look at the world. You defiantly become more in tune with nature and appreciate what a marvel it is. Over the last year I have had the opportunity to experience some of the worlds most beautiful offerings.

The Golden Gate bridge was one of the first places I went to shoot when I started taking photography more serious. It’s an icon around the world and it’s right in our own backyard. This shot is an example of how extraordinary a place you see everyday can be.

Like many things that are truly appreciated, getting this shot was not easy. Thank you to Allen and Steve for the constant scouting reports in SF and to Jave for being the only person crazy enough to organize daily 4:30 am Flickr runs to insure success.

I had a hard time concentrating on getting the shot just right because I just wanted to just stare at this amazing sight. Watching the pillows of fog rolling across the bay exposing the towers of the bridge was nothing short of a religious experience.

Have a wonderful week. Thanks for looking.
