94/365 Barber in Putney
Recently I found this newly renovated barber in Putney. It might sound a bit wierd to say that I was quite excited to find this place...so let me explain. I had been going to a really run down characterless place run by folks who couldn't really speak english, and whose owner/head barber had recently been arrested for drunken driving. When I found the above place, called Pepe's I was so so so stoked. Basically a young french chap had bought the business from Pepe (who had been there for 16 years) and is transforming it into a barber shop slash art & photography gallery, wine tasting venue and coffee spot. Right up my ally !!!! It is a great experience going there, and some of the art he has had up so far has been fantastic. The photographs you see in this shot are actually a series of photo's taken by this new owner exploring 'the spaces we don't see' in London.
