setting up the "nite ranger" for winter
Done:
-new revelate designs tangle bag
-threw dyno hub/homebrew led light back on
-rolling on the brooks for a bit
-gps for recording trips
To do:
-fenders, thinking of new SKS's, the 'dark' ones, for a tighter fit around 32's
-i still want to strip the frame
-new rear wheel, thinking xt disc compatible hub and dyad rim, 32h
-revelate seat bag for trips/long rides/coffee brewing rides
-might skip the standard rack for a while....still thinking on that.
-might mount a rear dyno to the fender
-eventually i'll need a new drivetrain. not sure what I want to do - still want to tour on this bike, but also want something a little lighter/roadier...might be able to get away with sram road group if i stick to 'bikepacking style' trips
notes: first time out with the tangle bag. i like it, but i stuff it a bit with work stuff - need slimmer lunch tupps! i was hitting it a bit with my legs. hadn't ridden the brooks in a while, feeling great! really liking the 32 paselas today after a weekend of fatbikepacking madness!
