20140624 - Calico
Say hi to Calico :o)
She is a CB13 Yellow Belly Royal Python and is just the best fathers day present from HJ and KL
she (confirmed female) came home on June 15th and ate that evening after settling in instantly ... and after a quick cuddle!
She is totally different to Hob in that she is slow and methodical with her movements, she is so very laid back and calm, plus she loves just lazing about wrapped around my arm ...
... until feeding time ...
... when she goes off like a bear trap when presented with hot-headed food. i am so very glad to have 18" steel tongs!!!
the yellow belly morph is a co-dominant trait and when two the same are paired; you can end up with, funnily enough, yellow bellies, classics and "super yellow bellies" which are called Ivories and they are white with a spinal stripe and blue eyes!
oh and just to confuse matters, she is called calico but is not a calico morph!
calico currently weighs in around 355g and has the potential to reach something like 2.5Kg and 5' ... maybe bigger!
