Growlandw's "Yellow and Blue"

Did an adjustment for growlandw to demonstrate the power of the Orton effect. btw, props to growlandw for helping me pick the 15mm Canon Fisheye lens. He was very helpful and has some great fisheye images in his stream.

How I achieved this look:

1. I used the channel mixer to show just the red channel as monochrome. This creates a B&W image very similar to an IR photo.

2. I applied the orton effect (copied the image, blurred it, set the blending to multiply and reduced the transparency to 75%).

3. I set the color of the blur layer to 100% sepia.

4. I added a curves adjustment until the trees were glowing.

5. Added a brushed metal. layer with overlay blending to give it the burnt look.

6. I also added increased contrast and saturation to give the image more punch
