Cactus: PARODIA WARASII

This solitary-growing Cactus comes from the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil and is named after an Argentine Botanist Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi.

Usually this Cactus is globose, but some elongate into short cylinders over time.

Yellow is the most common flower color, though some species have flowers in other colors (orange, pink, red or green).

The large, pale-yellow flowers appear in summer.
