Lune Rambler
Looking towards Whitbarrow Scar
This is one I prepared earlier...it's still raining now.
This is a view from the Park looking towards Whitbarrow Scar. The late afternoon sunshine was bathing the Scar, and it seemed pale and hazy.
Below me was the river Kent which, then, leisurely wove its way through the Park.
The trees were in various stages of their autumnal colours; some still green, some starting to turn.
One of my favourite trees there is situated in the centre and was a deep golden-bronze.
Whitbarrow Scar is a fine limestone scar noted for the wide range of butterflies on its northern edge.
