Cassin's Finch female (or maybe immature) in spring landscape
These finches are still here! They are rare at this locality, so I'm surprised at how long they are lingering (I saw 6 this morning). They DO like to raise their crests - seems like a Cassin's characteristic. Green growing things popping up in the background makes for nice photographic conditions!
