AJ 37 Viggen

The AJ 37 is the strike variant of the Viggen and was the first one to fly in 1967. It's very similar to its air-superiority/interceptor counterpart aesthetically, but a key difference is the trailing edge of the tail fin. The AJ 37 lacks the characteristic "flick" found on the JA 37.

About the model:

It's very similar to the one I posted back in September www.flickr.com/photos/39885799@N02/50303386308/in/datepos... but the slight difference the shape of the tail fin meant I felt compelled to model the strike variant as a separate model. It's also a nice splash of colour in what's been a very grey series of recent uploads! All the parts are available in these colours and I've managed to keep the estimated cost down to reasonable levels with a bit of tinkering!
