Early summer in the Cascades

For a change snow is lingering long in the Cascades this year.

 

We made it out for a short hike up to Sauk Mountain in Skagit County and enjoyed a great 360-degrees-panorama across the North Cascades. The mountain hiding in the clouds at the very left would be Mount Baker, one of the five volcanoes of Washington State.
